HELC is committed to providing the most innovative, and quality learning center in our community. The quality of our program is determined by a school system that receives our children into kindergarten ready to learn, by parents that are confident in the care their children receive, and by the on-going partnerships with our center.
As a community based not-for-profit, the HELC Board of Trustees takes full fiduciary responsibility for the success of the program and the economic stability of the corporation.
At HELC, we shall provide a safe environment with experienced teachers that recognize parents have the primary responsibility in the first level of training and education for their children. We will strive to strengthen, respect, and support parents by setting an example and assisting in the intellectual, emotional, social and physical development of the children entrusted to our care.
HELC teachers shall always put the children first while they encourage the children to explore, experiment, interact, share their ideas, make choices, be individuals, and discover the world. They shall create an enriched atmosphere full of trust, love, security, and positive support that each child needs to develop their own unique personality. We shall honor the children’s privacy, open their minds, and cherish their uniqueness while enhancing their development.
Our mission is to provide quality and affordable early childhood education for the children of northern Boone County, regardless of social or economic status, in an environment that is safe, as well as educationally and developmentally appropriate.
